Geko Suites 4

Geko Suites 4 opens to one of the most quietly compelling views in the south of Thassos. The Aegean stretches out uninterrupted from the private terrace, and the surrounding gardens of lavender, sage, and rosemary fill the air with a scent that becomes, within a day or two, the smell of the holiday itself. A self-contained suite within the newly built Geko Suites complex in Astris, it sits 100 metres from the sea, designed in the minimal language of island architecture, stone, wood, and white walls that keep the eye moving outward toward the water.

Inside, two bedrooms and two bathrooms give the suite a generosity of space that makes longer stays feel entirely natural. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to shop at the local market, cook slowly, and eat at the outdoor dining table as the evening cools. The private salt pool sits at the centre of the outdoor space, surrounded by the garden, sunbeds, and an outdoor sofa that tends to hold people longer than they planned to stay. The view from here, over the Aegean and toward the horizon, has a way of making the afternoon disappear.

When the urge to explore takes over, the location more than delivers. Giola is 3 minutes away, the Monastery of the Archangel Michael is 5, and the beach at Aliki is 10. Potos is 7 minutes down the road. The suite is close enough to all of it to feel connected to the island, and far enough from the crowds to feel like a private corner of it.
