Kinira Beach Thassos is a narrow beach with sand and pebbles, located next to Kinira village on the southern shores of the island, just a 30-minute drive from Limenas Thassos (20 kilometers). This beach is perfect for those who prefer to enjoy the sun and the sea away from beach bars and crowded places with sunbeds and watersports. It retains its wild beauty, and it is almost at all times peaceful with few people around. Right behind the beach, there are trees that provide natural shadow, but we highly recommend you take an umbrella with you.
Although the waters are shallow, it is good to have sea shoes that will help you get in and out of the water quickly because, at some spots, the entrance to the sea is rocky. In a short distance from the beach, you can find taverns and restaurants to enjoy your lunch or dinner. If you fall in love with the raw beauty of this place, there are a lot of accommodation options. The view from Kinira Beach is breathtaking because you can see a small private island named “Kiniriotiko,” which is protected by Natura 2000 and is renowned for the fish that gather around it. Within a 7-minute driving distance to the south, you can also visit Paradeisos Beach, one of the most famous beaches on Thassos.
