Homa Handmade Crafts

Homa Handmade Crafts is located in Potos, named after the Greek word for earth, homa, soil that gives rise to life and creation. It's a name that fits: everything in this shop is made from raw, natural material, shaped by hand into something meant to last. Outside, a wooden shelving unit stacked with ceramics, an outdoor display cart with bowls and coasters, and clothing racks visible through the open entrance under warm amber pendant lights make clear what kind of shop this is before you've even stepped in. Directly opposite the storefront stands the Wish Tree, its branches hung with wishes left by visitors, free for anyone who wants to add their own.

The ceramics greet you first and they earn your attention. Mandala-patterned coasters in sage green, dusty rose and grey-blue with gold detail, shell-shaped dishes in soft mint, starfish bowls, glazed mugs in teal, terracotta and deep red, and the hand-painted ceramic boats in white and blue that seem to end up in every room they're brought into.

The clothing follows naturally as you step inside. Linen and silk pieces with hand-stitched blue floral embroidery on the sleeves, block-print summer pieces in warm earthy tones, and patchwork fabric wraps in jewel-toned patterns. Handmade bags sit nearby. Nothing loud, nothing generic, the kind of pieces that feel like a deliberate find rather than an impulse buy.

Then comes the jewelry, and this is where Homa really sets itself apart. Every piece is made by hand in-house: gold hoops assembled with colored bead clusters, pearl drops, starfish, butterfly and heart charms, delicate pearl-and-gold chain necklaces strung one bead at a time, thin bracelets and silver rings in stacked and open band designs, with embroidered and gemstone details worked throughout. There's a difference between jewelry that looks handmade and jewelry that actually is, and here that difference is immediately obvious.
